1. Check TNEA Eligibility & Marks

2. Online Registration & Application
Create an account on the official TNEA portal using a valid mobile number and email ID, enter academic details, and pay the registration fee.

- •Fill academic marks, school details (standard 6 to 12), and community details
- •Pay registration fee online: General: ₹500, SC/SCA/ST: ₹250

3. Certificate Upload & Special Quotas

- •Upload Transfer Certificate (TC)
- •Submit 7.5% Govt School Study Certificate (Studied 6th to 12th in TN Govt Schools)

4. Online Certificate Verification (TFCs)
Officers at TNEA Facilitation Centres (TFCs) verify uploaded documents online. In rare discrepancy cases, students may be called to a local TFC.

- •Check verification status regularly by logging into the TNEA portal
- •If any document is rejected, re-upload the corrected certificate within the given window
- •Free assistance is available at all designated Government TFC centres across every district

5. Random Number & Official Rank List
Anna University publishes the Random Number for tie-breaking, followed by the General Rank List and Community Rank List.

7. Tentative Allotment & Confirmation
View your tentative seat allotment and choose one of the official confirmation options (Accept & Join, Accept & Upward, Decline & Upward, etc.).

- •Accept and Upward: Accept current seat but request a higher preference choice if vacated
- •Decline and Upward: Reject current seat but participate in upward movement for higher choices
- •Decline and Quit: Exit counselling

8. Provisional Allotment & College Reporting
Download your official Provisional Allotment Order and report to the allotted college with original certificates before the reporting deadline.

- •Complete admission formalities and pay tuition fees / hostel fees
